Objective To discuss the application value of ultrasound and shear wave elastography in the diagnosis of breast cancer. Methods From February 2014 to February 2016, 61 patients with non palpable breast cancer in the First People's Hospital of Linhai were selected in this research. The patients were examined by conventional ultrasound(control group), ultrasound shear wave elastography(observation group). The diagnosis accuracy, sensitivity, specificity were compared between the two groups. Results The diagnosis accuracy, sensitivity, specificity of the observation group were 96.7%, 96.2%, 100.0%, respectively, which were significantly higher than those of the control group (78.7%, 75.0%, 64.7%), and the differences were statistically significant(χ2=9.2, 9.1, 4.2, all P<0.05). Conclusion Ultrasound and shear wave elastography in the diagnosis of non palpable breast cancer has better diagnostic value, the nature of disease with higher diagnostic accuracy, high sensitivity and identification of cancerous lesions, better specificity, early diagnosis is helpful to the disease and treatment of patients with broken, meet the expectations. Key words: Ultrasonography; Elasticity imaging techniques; Breast diseases
