Year: 1963 Journal:   Review of Polarography Vol: 11 (1-2)Pages: 71-78

Abstract

In the course of examining new electrode systems for anodic oxidations, the carbon paste electrode was developed. This electrode has proven far more valuable than originally expected and it is the purpose of this paper to critically review its properties, applications, and shortcomings. It is fitting that emphasis be placed on applications to organic electrode mechanism studies. One can only hope that future work with this electrode applied to organic electro-oxidations will approach the value of the elegant and classical studies of Professor Tachi and his students in the area of organic reduction
