Kesadaran Masyarakat Terhadap Fungsi Hutan Kota Tibang Banda Aceh

Abstract

Abstrak. Ruang Terbuka Hijau di wilayah perkotaan memiliki fungsi yang penting untuk aspek estetika, sosial budaya, serta ekologi perkotaan. Hutan kota merupakan salah satu elemen ruang terbuka hijau yang secara garis besar fungsinya dapat dikelompokkan menjadi tiga yaitu fungsi lansekap, fungsi pelestarian lingkungan, serta fungsi estetika. Hutan Kota BNI Tibang memiliki banyak jenis flora maupun fauna yaitu 153 jenis pohon, 19 jenis tanaman hias, 33 jenis kupu-kupu yang berdatangan, serta terdapat 25 jenis burung yang transit, tinggal, dan mencari makan di hutan kota. Selain flora dan fauna, Hutan Kota BNI Tibang juga memiliki fasilitas-fasilitas pendukung fungsi hutan kota. Agar keberadaan Hutan Kota BNI Tibang tetap terjaga maka diperlukan kesadaran masyarakat terhadap fungsi hutan kota tersebut. Masyarakat yang memiliki kesadaran yang tinggi terhadap fungsi hutan kota kemungkinan besar dapat berperilaku positif terhadap pemanfaatan hutan kota secara lestari. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif melalui wawancara, pengisian kuisioner dan check fasilitas. Dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 122 orang, dibagi berdasarkan 3 strata usia yaitu, anak-anak, remaja, dan dewasa. Tingkat kesadaran terhadap fungsi hutan kota tergolong baik dengan nilai anak-anak 63,1 %, remaja 68,33%, serta dewasa 73,08%. Ketersediaan fasilitas pendukung fungsi Hutan Kota di Hutan Kota BNI Tibang tergolong lengkap dan memadai.Public Awareness of the functions of Urban Forest Tibang Banda Aceh Abstract. Green urban spaces in cities have several important functions such as for the aesthetic, sosio-cultural, and urban ecology aspects. Urban forest is one of the elements of gren space which oulines its functions can be groups into three namely; the landscape function, the function of environmental preservation, and aesthetic function. BNI Tibang urban forest has many types of flora and fauna which are 153 species of trees, 19 species of ornamental plants, 33 species of butterflies that arrive, and there are 25 species of birds that transit, living, and foraging in the urban forest. In addition to flora and fauna, BNI Tibang urban forest also has facilities that support the function of urban forest. So that the existence of the BNI Tibang urban foresrt is maintained, it requires public awareness of the functions of the urban forest. People who have a high awareness of the function of urban forest are likely to be able to behave positively towards the sustainable use of urban forest. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative through interviews, questionnaires, and facility checks. With 122 respondents, divided by age strata, namely children, teenager, and adults. The level of awareness of he function of urban forest is classified as good with the value of children 63,1% teenager 68,33%, and adults 73,08%. The availability of supporting facilities for the function of urban forest in BNI Tibang urban forest is complete and aduquate.
