Inkjet Printed Assembly and Electrical Characteristics of Thin-Film Transistors with Hybrid MoS2-P3HT Semiconductor Layers

Abstract

An organic thin-film transistor (OTFT) was realized by inkjet printing P3HT onto a self-assembled stack of molybdenum disulphide (MoS 2 ) nano-particles. To form well-dispersed MoS 2 nano-particles onto the channel region, the wetting and evaporation dynamics of MoS 2 suspensions from an aqueous droplet was investigated. The I-V characteristics of the hybrid organic-inorganic (MoS 2 -P3HT) composite channel OTFT had a measured field-effect mobility of 7.5×10 -3 cm 2 /Vs at a threshold voltage of ~ -3V and an on/off current ratio 10 3 .
