A Circularly Polarized Array Antenna Based on Circular Polarizer

Abstract

A novel scheme of circularly-polarized (CP) array antenna basing on the linearly-polarized array and circular polarizer is proposed. The new approach of fission transmission of electromagnetic waves (FTEM) wave is introduced to transform linear - to - circularly polarized wave. A 2×8 array is studied to show this scheme successfully. The array exhibits an around 4.80% band-width from 5.07GHz to 5.32 GHz with axial ratio (AR) less than 3 dB and 13 dBic maximum gain.
