This research aims to reveal the effect of applying LKPD based on guided inquiry on student learning outcomes on hydrocarbon material in class XI MIPA at SMAN 1 Ranah Pesisir. This type of research is quasi-experimental research using the design of Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. This research was conducted at SMAN 1 Ranah Pesisir. The research subjects were selected using purposive sampling technique in which class XI MIPA 1 as the experimental class and class XI MIPA 2 as the control class. The research instrument used was a test of learning outcomes in the form of multiple choice questions. The average posttests value in this experimental class students was 80,7 is higher than the control class with an average value of 71,9. The research data was analyzed using SPSS series 16.00. Based on data analysis shows that the sample class is normally distributed and homogeneous so that t-test can be carried out, the significance value is obtained (sig) 0.000 <0.005 then the decision rejects Ho. This means that the experimental class learning outcomes are higher than the control class significantly. The conclusion of this study shows that the use of guided inquiry-based LKPD on hydrocabone material significantly influences the learning outcomes of class XI students in SMAN 1 Ranah Pesisir.
