Bidirectional dark soliton mode-locked fiber laser based on thulium-doped fiber saturable absorber

Abstract

A bidirectional dark-soliton fiber laser is demonstrated for the first time. The experimental results of the output counter-propagating pulses and its potential applications for rotation sensing are discussed.
