Abstract

In order to study the influence of the change of the inlet angle of the centrifugal impeller on the performance of the centrifugal compressor, eight sets of centrifugal impellers with increasing inlet angle were designed by using the centrifugal impeller design software, and the flow field of different inlet angle blades was simulated by CFX computer simulation software. The simulation results show that the inlet angle of the centrifugal impeller has a significant influence on the performance of the centrifugal compressor. The total pressure ratio of the compressor decreases with the increase of the inlet angle of the blade. When the inlet angle of the blade is 40°, the total pressure ratio of the centrifugal compressor the maximum value is 4.6870. This simulation analysis provides a data reference for the design of high pressure ratio centrifugal compressors.
