Abstract

Many of the applications of epoxy resins utilize a laminated construction. The presence of reinforcing fibers lends added strength and stiffness to the final composite, permitting applications not normally associated with resinous plastics. The combination of high-strength fibers with the adhesive properties of epoxy resin yields physical properties unsurpassed by other similar materials of construction.
