HUBUNGAN FUNGSI KOGNITIF DENGAN PENGABAIAN PADA LANJUT USIA

Abstract

Satu dari sepuluh lansia mengalami pengabaian, baik yang dilakukan oleh keluarga ataupun pengasuh, lansia yang menggalami gangguan fungsi kognitif lebih sering mengalami pengabaian. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara fungsi kognitif, dengan pengabaian pada lansia. Jenis penelitian deskriptif eksploratif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah lansia di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Krueng Barona Jaya Kabupaten Aceh Besar. yang berjumlah 1844 orang. Tehnik pengambilan sampel stratified random sampling dengan jumlah sampel 104 responden. Instrument yang digunakan Short Portable Mental Status Questionnaire (SPMSQ ). Anailisis menggunakan Chi- Square. Hasil penelitian   adanya hubungan fungsi kognitif dengan pengabaian  (χ 2 0.001, α 0.05). Diskusi: adanya hubungan dari fungsi kognitif dengan kejadian pengabaian pada lansia. Saran diharapkan kepada pemberi pelayanan kesehatan terutama pihak institusi untuk dapat mengadakan kegiatan memandirikan lansia dalam memenuhi kebutuhan sehari-harinya. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between cognitive function with neglect among elderly. Type of study was explorative descriptive. The population in this study were the elderly in the Work Area of the Krueng Barona Jaya Health Center, Aceh Besar Regency, which numbered 1844 people. The sample tehnique used stratified random sampling with a sample size of 104 respondents. The instrument used was the Short Portable Mental Status Questionnaire (SPMSQ). Analysis used Chi-Square. The results of the study showed tha there was relationship between cognitive function with neglect (χ2 0.001, α 0.05). Discussion: the relationship between cognitive function and the incidence of neglect in the elderly.
