Abstract

Face recognition in low-resolution space is challenging as low-resolution (LR) images do not have efficient personal characteristics. In recent years, many works have been proposed for providing solution to the problem of recognition of LR images. This chapter presented the survey of existing methods used for low-resolution face recognition. Moreover, the analysis of different existing methods for LR images having different dimensions from several popular databases have also been presented here.
