Carbon Nanotube Polymer Composites

Abstract

In this chapter, a critical review on the above aspects is given based on recent research findings obtained by the authors and other researchers. All these aspects cannot be considered individually in the development of nanotube/polymer composites; therefore, a detailed discussion of each of these aspects is given, and how they co-link is also addressed. As this chapter is also focused on the mechanical properties of nanotube/polymer composites, the fundamental physics that governs the bonding behavior between carbon-carbon atoms of nanotubes will also be briefly explained.
