The present work considers issues of metrological support of on-board information-measurement systems (IMS) located on the track geometry cars and locomotives. IMS data are used to assess the condition of the railway track profile. IMS includes measurement channels, which allows estimation of the railway track defects and their binding to coordinates. The work considers issues of obtained results veracity assessment since every measurement subsystem introduces its own systematic and random errors.
