Abstract

This paper proposed a stacked DC-DC converter with wide voltage range including: 1 st stage LLC resonant converter and 2 nd stage voltage regulator with interleaving operation. Only open loop with 50% duty cycle is used to switch GaN devices in 1 st stage LLC converter. Full bridge operation mode and half bridge operation mode are developed and conducted based on different output voltage requirement. Simulation results are provided to verify the effectiveness of the proposed stacked DC-DC converter using GaN devices.
