SMPMA: Semantic multimodal profile for multimedia documents adaptation

Abstract

Multimedia documents can be accessed at anytime and anywhere on a wide variety of devices, such as laptops, tablets and smartphones. The heterogeneity of devices and user preferences has raised the problem of these documents adaptation according to user context condition and device characteristics. In this paper, we propose a semantic multimodal profile for multimedia documents adaptation. Thus, we propose a mechanism allowing dynamic generation of user conditions by including multimodal technologies. The proposed profile has the great advantage to offer a flexible way to users to satisfy their constraints and easily choose how to display their multimedia documents.
