Random Number Generators Based on Discrete-time Chaotic Maps

Abstract

A novel tent map based random number generator (RNG) is introduced. Feasibility verification results from the experiment and simulation, show that the generated binary sequence fulfill statistical randomness tests without post processing, are presented. In the proposed RNG, bit sequences are produced by analyzing the distribution of the underlying signal. The proposed design can be applied for the other discrete-time chaotic maps and can be implemented in the integrated circuit.
