Metal–Organic Frameworks: Hydrophobic Metal–Organic Frameworks (Adv. Mater. 32/2019)

Abstract

Nature-inspired hydrophobic materials have gained much attention in various applications in materials research. In article number 1900820, Kolleboyina Jayaramulu, Roland A. Fischer, and co-workers summarize recent progress in synthetic routes, properties, critical challenges of characterization, and applications of hydrophobic metal–organic frameworks, with reference to hydrophobic spider networks, super hydrophobic butterfly wings, and greenback ground mimics with lotus leaf color.
