Hydrogen detection with plasmonic palladium-coated tilted fiber Bragg gratings

Abstract

Surface plasmon resonance excitation is achieved with palladium-coated tilted fiber Bragg gratings. The sensors are able to detect hydrogen leaks at concentrations way below the lower explosive limit of the gas.
