In recent years, three classics from the English School of International Relations have been edited and studied again. In 2012 the fourth edition of The Anarchical Society came out, first published in 1977, with a new preface written by Andrew Hurrell, while in 2017 the forty years of that work were celebrated with a volume edited by Hidemi Suganami, Madeleine Carr and Adam Humphreys in which several debates have been raised to rethink this classic written by Hedley Bull. In Spain, the book Changes in the Nature of Diplomacy and War in the Forty Years of the Hedley Bull Anarchic Society published in 2019 has also commemorated this anniversary. Likewise, the publication of a new edition of the Diplomatic Investigations work, published for the first time in 1966, is planned with a new introduction by Tim Dunne and Ian Hall, as well as the collective work The Expansion of International Society published in 1984 with a new foreword by Andrew Hurrell.
