ChemInform Abstract: Grain‐Boundary‐Phase Crystallization and Strength of Silicon Nitride Sintered with a YSiAlON Glass.

Abstract

Abstract It is demonstrated that glasses of the Y‐Si‐Al‐O‐N system (a glass with nominal composition Y2.6Si3.0Al1.1O10N1.1 is used) are effective sintering aids for Si 3 N 4 and ceramics with minimal porosity and up to 99% density can be produced.
