Abstract

The vanadium borophosphate (NH4)5[V3BP3O19]·H2O has been synthesized at room temperature under oxidizing conditions. The cluster anion [V3BP3O19]5- contains three edge-shared distorted VO6 octahedra and is the first example of a V(V) borophosphate.
