Surface-Acoustic-Wave-Photonic Devices in Standard Silicon-on-Insulator

Abstract

Planar acousto-optic devices are implemented in standard silicon on insulator. Pump light is absorbed in metallic gratings. Stimulated surface waves modulate an optical probe in a ring resonator. Narrowband microwave photonic filtering is demonstrated. © 2019 The Author(s)
