Abstract

In this paper, we study a distributed antenna system (DAS) design to satisfy stringent reliability and latency requirements of uplink communications for the industrial IoT. To avoid the latency induced by the resource reservation phase, we consider grant-free access in DAS and propose an algorithm to minimize the spectrum resources for satisfying ultra-reliable low-latency communication (URLLC) requirements. The simulation results show that the proposed DAS is able to satisfy the URLLC requirements with less spectrum resources than the conventional co-located antenna system (CAS).
