Coplanar Stripline Reconfigurable Bandpass Filter with Variable Notch Band Frequency

Abstract

A reconfigurable coplanar stripline (CPS) bandpass filter with a notch band that may turned ON or OFF or its frequency varied is demonstrated for the first time. The notch band is due to the higher order, even mode, that is controlled with pin diodes independently of the CPS odd mode. The bandwidth of the single element filter is 2.5-6.7 GHz and the notch band is varied from 3-4.6 GHz.
