ChemInform Abstract: Key Role of Bismuth in the Magnetoelastic Transitions of Ba3BiIr2O9 and Ba3BiRu2O9 as Revealed by Chemical Doping.

Abstract

Abstract Polycrystalline samples of Ba 3 La 1‐x Ce x Ru 2 O 9 , Ba 3 Ce 1‐x Bi x Ru 2 O 9 , Ba 3 La 1‐x Bi x Ru 2 O 9 , and Ba 3 La 1‐x Bi x Ir 2 O 9 (0 ≤ x ≤ 1) are prepared by stoichiometric solid state reaction of BaCO 3 , La 2 O 3 , Bi 2 O 3 , CeO 2 , and Ru and Ir metal in air.
