Embedded smart home networking gateway system design

Abstract

IoT gateway has a very important significance in smart home systems. An embedded home networking gateway system is designed in this paper. The system is based on the embedded Linux operating system, IPv4 and IPv6 network protocol, an internal network information processing platform was implemented using ARM microprocessor S3C2410, EM310 RF module and DM9000A module. The platform makes use of existing network facilities, radio frequency modules and network interface modules to realize interconnection and intercommunication of home-aware networks through wireless or wired links. The designed system not only has the advantages of small size, low cost, low power consumption, but also has the characteristics of good real-time performance and high security, and is suitable for application in the home Internet of Things.
