High Resolution Moving Train Imaging Using Linear-FM Random Radar Waveform

Abstract

A novel linear-FM random radar waveform is proposed. The proposed linear-FM random radar waveforms can realize low A/D sampling rate similar to LFM waveform using the dechirp processing and possess thumbtack-like Ambiguity Function (AF) and anti-deceptive interference to against DRFM repeat jammer similar to random noise waveform. Both computer numerical simulation and high resolution moving train imaging experimental by Ka band radar with 2GHz signal bandwidth demonstrate the performance of the proposed waveform.
