Abstract

In the title compound, [Cu(C7H2N2O7)(C5H5N)(C10H8N2)], the CuII atom is coordinated by two O atoms from a 3,5-dinitrosalicylate ligand, two N atoms from a 2,2′-bipyridine ligand and one N atom from a pyridine ligand in a square-pyramidal geometry. The structure is stabilized by C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds and π–π interactions between the bipyridine ligands, with a centroid–centroid distance between neighbouring aromatic rings of 3.96 (8) Å.
