Residential Uninterruptible Power Supply System with Renewable Energy Sources and Battery Pack

Abstract

A residential power supply system incorporating renewable energy sources and UPS capability is proposed. The unique feature of proposed system is that it does not allow energy flow into the grid, thus eliminating the necessity of replacing conventional unidirectional energy meter with bidirectional one. As far as system is equipped with battery pack, it can provide an uninterruptible power supply capability while being disconnected from electric grid during power outage.
