Abstract

This paper proposes an architecture for device-to-device (D2D)-enabled cellular networks, which allows multiple user equipment to proactively cache and then share multi-bitrate videos. Furthermore, a proactive caching strategy is put forth to optimize the system utility that strikes a balance between quality-of-experience and cost while considering the coordination of multitype resources.
