Tracking maneuvering targets using Kalman filters switching

Abstract
The complete procedure of tracking maneuvering aerial targets using Kalman filters switching is given. The procedure includes the detection of a sudden change of the target acceleration, the detection of a zero acceleration and the precise filter initialisation. The whole procedure is checked using computer simulation and the tracking procedure parameters are determined. The procedure can be easily programmed.
