Research on Streaming Media Cache Optimization Based on Mobile Edge Computing

Abstract

The 5G era is approaching. Mobile Edge Computing (MEC) is one of the most critical technologies. It can make future mobile networks provide us with more efficient, more humanized and smarter services. MEC research includes network planning, resource allocation, interference coordination and cache planning. This paper combines the characteristics of "streaming media" to conduct in-depth research on the aspects of cache planning. According to the user's preferences for different files and the size of different files, a variety of algorithms are used to build the MEC server intelligent cache analysis platform, thus making it possible that files stored in the MEC limited storage space can bring the best optimization experience to surrounding users. The system simulation results show that the MEC server intelligent cache analysis platform can reduce the occupation of communication channels between users and the core network, reduce the delay of user file transmission.
