Abstract

In this paper a non-resonant slotted corrugated waveguide array antenna with extended frequency scanning area is presented. To extend the frequency scanning area, additional corrugations inside the waveguide structure were introduced. The relationship between these corrugations and the scanning area is also shown. The array antenna operates in the C-band with 9% bandwidth for the center frequency and the reflection coefficient is below -15 dB. In the operating bandwidth, the scanning area is approximately 35 degrees in the H plane. The simulated results are calculated using QuickWave full-wave electromagnetic (EM) software.
