This study of the effects of six days of rapid reading training and rapid reading plus recognition training on the reading rates and comprehension of blind braille-reading adults revealed that speeds of up to 225 words per minute are feasible without a significant loss of comprehension. A review of the literature, the experimental procedures and instructions, and an analysis of pretest and posttest results are included.
