Adaptive sliding mode control for T-S fuzzy descriptor systems

Abstract

This paper investigated the adaptive sliding mode control problem for T-S fuzzy descriptor systems with different input matrices. The specific information of the bound of nonlinear term is unknown in the controller design process. Our attention is mainly focused on designing the adaptive sliding mode controller for such a T-S fuzzy descriptor. Firstly, a model-based fuzzy sliding surface is constructed to match the characteristic of different input matrices. Secondly, an adaptive sliding mode controller is designed based on the fuzzy sliding surface to adapt the unknown upper bound of matched nonlinearity. Some admissibility conditions of T-S fuzzy descriptor systems can be obtained. Finally, a numerical example is given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed results.
