Abstract

Dual-band C-shaped circular slot substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) antennas are proposed in this paper. The C-shaped structure is constructed using slot region oriented along the longitudinal as well as the transversal directions to feed line. A C-shaped circular slot SIW antenna is designed and fabricated to achieve larger bandwidth, higher gain and low cross polarization level. The designed C-shaped circular slot SIW antenna produces dual band measured response in the frequency range of 11.05 GHz to 11.30 GHz and 12.80 GHz to 13.30 GHz, with the center frequencies of 11.19 GHz, and 13.06 GHz, respectively. At these center frequencies measured gain is 8.81 dBi and 8.70 dBi, respectively.
