Consensus of third-order multi-agent systems with fixed topology and input delay

Abstract

In this paper, the consensus problem is investigated for the third-order multi-agent system with input delay. Based on frequency domain analysis, the sufficient and necessary conditions for two kinds of third-order consensus protocols are obtained, respectively. Compared with the existing results, this paper focuses on finding the largest tolerable input delay which is showed by non-zero eigenvalues and scaling strengths. Simulation results illustrate the correctness of the results.
