In this paper a non — isolated high gain high power converter is proposed using interleaved quadratic converter and voltage multiplier cells. Electrical power available from the photovoltaic panel need to be considerably stepped up before connecting to load. The designed converter is capable of boosting panel voltage to a desired level without using transformer. Interleaving of the quadratic boost converter makes the converter suitable for high power applications. Cascading it with voltage multiplier makes it suitable for High gain applications. This paper discusses the operating principle, steady state analysis and performance of the converter in terms of voltage gain and voltage stress across the switches. Its suitability to connect with photovoltaic power generation is also discussed. Simulation of the proposed converter is done using Simulink/Mat lab.
