Recent Developments in Sludge Conditioning and Dewatering

Abstract

Government directives and sewage plant managers alike stress the great importance that should be attached to sludge treatment. The main objectives in this respect are:−to cut reagent and energy costs,−to facilitate maintenance and conservation of plant,−to favour sludge utilization. Some recent examples, representative of these new trends, are outlined below.
