Lithium‐Ion Batteries: Scalable 2D Mesoporous Silicon Nanosheets for High‐Performance Lithium‐Ion Battery Anode (Small 12/2018)

Abstract

In article number 1703361, Zhuo Chen, Chuanbao Cao, Min Xia, and co-workers report that 2D ultrathin mesoporous silicon (Si) nanosheets with a homogeneous carbon layer achieve remarkably enhanced lithium-storage properties, cycle stability and rate capability, which can be attributed to the coexistence of both the homogeneous carbon layer, and 2D mesoporous nanostructures in the Si materials to shorten the lithium ion diffusion pathway, facilitate interfacial charge transfer and mitigate huge volume changes.
