A double-input DC-DC converter for wide-input-voltage-range application

Abstract

The output power of most facilities for new energy power generation is unstable because of the external environment. In the distributed power system with two or more sources, a stable output can be achieved by the complementary power supply among different input sources. A double-input DC-DC converter for wide input voltage range applications is proposed in this paper, which has the following advantages: the circuit is simple, the input voltage range is wide and the sources can deliver power to the load individually or simultaneously. The operation modes and the steady-state analysis are proposed. Finally, the simulation result is proposed to verify the correctness of the analysis and feasibility of the proposed converter.
