This thesis is developed around the work of the architect Álvaro Siza Vieira, more concretely of his spaces destined to exhibitions.The objective is to catalog, compare and draw conclusion about the premises found in some case studies, namely with a greater focus on the Galician Center for Contemporary Art, in the Museum of Contemporary Art of Serralves and the Museum Nadir Afonso.The work is divided into two main parts, the first one being a contextualization in the world history of the museum typology and the second one more related to the architect Álvaro Siza, where the study cases are explored through four themes: promenade architecturale, connection with the exterior and support equipment.Through the visit of the spaces and photography, with the analysis of drawings and texts, the characteristics are described, the situations are encountered and compared, and finally, conclusions are drawn on this theme in Álvaro Siza Vieira's work.
