Surface-plasmon PCF-based sensor in hollow-core photonic crystal fiber

Abstract

A surface-plasmon PCF-based sensor placed into hollow-core photonic crystal fiber is modeled and analyzed in this work. We analyze the surface-plasmon sensor within Kagome hollow-core photonic crystal fiber by the finite element method, and evaluate the propagation air-guided mode and surface-plasmon modes.
