All-dielectric bianisotropic metasurfaces

Abstract

The realization of bianisotropic responses with all-dielectric metasurfaces is investigated, and a systematic design approach is developed. It is shown that by cascading anisotropic dielectric layers (subwavelength gratings) one can achieve bianisotropic responses. The all-dielectric bianisotropic metasurfaces exhibit a significantly improved loss performance over their plasmonic counterparts. A design example is presented and the performance verified through full-wave simulation.
