Abstract

Now-a-days Industrial Heritage, especiallyfactories, starts to get value and one ofthe most common uses to rehabilitated this spaces is the exhibition uses. However, one ofthe most important features ofthese spaces is the large amount of naturallight that have unfortunately wasted, partly or wholly. The thesis proposes a method for the rehabilitation ofthis spaces and a collection of information that forms a theoretical basis, the theorical base necessaryto reach a constructive solution specific filter to each rehabilitate the building . Take advantage of maxim um naturallight in industrial areas rehabilitated with these use, this will provide results of human comfort and significant energy savings for the building to rehabi litate. The major objective is to im prove "naturallight in the exhibition s paces ." The thesis consists oftwo parts. On the one hand, the theoretical basis necessary for the development of the second part, a case study. 1. THEORETICAL BASE is made from three interrelated themes. Existing situation : That explains the evolution of both the factory (s pace to rehabilitate) , the window (in which intervening element), the evolution ofthe exhibition space (new use). To achieve : Lighting requirements necessaryfor an exhibition space, can be solved with the use ofnaturallight. Ways to intervene: Analysis ofprevious rehabilitation offactories forthis exhibition use, analyzing the differentcriteria used in the different interventions that have been made to take advantage of naturallight. 2. CASE STUDY discussed an example of application ofthe theoretical basis, reaching a constructive solution of a system of shutlers , which gains control of naturallight through the case of Tabakalera , rehabilitation of the Tobacco Factory of San Sebastian. El patrimonio industrial, sobre todo las fábricas, cada día se pone más en valor y sebuscan nuevos usos para conservar edificios en los que se descubren interesantesespacios de estructuras generosas y con un buen acceso de luz natural, cualidadesque fueron importantes para facilitar el desarrollo de los usos industriales para los quefueron proyectados.Uno de los usos más habituales que se les vuelve a dar a estos edificios es el expositivo.Sin embargo, se da la paradoja que muchas veces se renuncia a una de lascaracterísticas más importantes de estos espacios, que es la gran cantidad de luznatural que tienen y que, desafortunadamente, se desaprovecha parcial ototalmente.La tesis propone un método de trabajo y de recopilación de una cierta base teóricanecesaria para afrontar la rehabilitación arquitectónica de estos edificios, y así llegar auna solución constructiva concreta de filtro, según el uso y la ubicación del edificio arehabilitar. El objetivo es aprovechar la luz natural al máximo en estos espaciosindustriales adaptados a un uso expositivo, para así tener espacios más confortablespara el ser humano y un importante ahorro energético. Se propone revalorizar, desdeel diseño arquitectónico, la “luz fabril en los espacios expositivos”.La tesis se estructura en tres partes. Una base teórica sólida, punto de partida paraconocer el espacio al que nos enfrentamos, el uso y los objetivos que debemos buscarasí como la manera de conseguirlo. La segunda parte, una herramienta de aplicaciónpráctica, que nos ayudará a saber usar la documentación teórica en un casopráctico. Y por último, un caso práctico, que ejemplifica la manera en la que se aplicala herramienta, siendo ejemplo además de que es posible utilizar la luz natural enespacios expositivos, verificando las premisas de las que parte la tesis.
