On the u-invariant of Function Fields of p-adic Curves

Abstract

This is an expository article on the u-invariant of the function fields of p-adic curves. Let k be a p-adic field and K a function field of a curve over k. In [PS], we have shown that if P ≠ 2, then the u-invariant of K is at most 10. In this article we briefly recall a few results from [PS] and also give an idea of proofs.
