Abstract

The underwater vehicles are expected as one of solutions for underwater activities i.e., maintenance of underwater structures, observations and scientific research. We are going to participate in international autonomous underwater robot competition "RoboSub2012". The competition is intended to improve underwater vehicle technology and exchange young engineer. In this paper, we describe the autonomous underwater robot "Pelican" developed aiming success competition missions, at handy, small underwater robots which can be operated by a few researchers.
