BOOK-CHAPTER

Mass tourism does not need defending.

Abstract

This chapter focuses on the general features of mass tourism, arguing that while tourism's global growth has been uneven, it has benefited countries and regions with a comparative advantage in tourism resources. It is argued that mass tourism does not need defending; just understanding how it works should be enough.
