Komunikasi Non Verbal Dalam Komunitas Tanah Aksara

Abstract

ABSTRAK Manusia mengalami proses komunikasi dalam setiap aspek kehidupannya. Disadari maupun tidak, proses komunikasi tersebut dapat terjadi kapanpun dan dimanapun. Begitupun halnya proses komunikasi dalam sebuah komunitas. Proses komunikasi yang seringkali tidak disadari adalah komunikasi non verbal. Dalam  komunitas, manusia juga belajar sesuatu mengenai fenomena melalui peristiwa komunikasi non verbal. Pada era modern ini, ketika budaya sudah semakin berkembang menjadi budaya populer yang tercampur oleh budaya barat, ternyata masih ada sebuah komunitas yang ingin mempertahankan tradisi warisan budaya lokal, dalam bidang aksara. Hal inilah yang akan peneliti angkat dalam penelitian kali ini. Komunitas tersebut bernama “Tanah Aksara”. Peneliti tertarik untuk mengangkat penelitian tentang Komunikasi Non Verbal dalam komunitas Adapun fokus penelitian ini adalah (1) mengetahui jenis-jenis komunikasi non verbal yang digunakan dalam komunitas Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan paradigma konstruktivis dengan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah ketekunan pengamatan, trianggulasi data, dan kecukupan referensial. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa komunikasi non verbal dalam komunitas Aksara meliputi pesan gesture, pesan proksemik, dan pesan artifaktual. Kata Kunci : Komunikasi, Non Verbal, Komunitas, ABSTRACT Humans experience the process of communication in every aspect of life. Knowingly or not, the communication process can happen anytime and anywhere. So it is the case of communication process in a community. The communication process is often not realized is non-verbal communication. In the community, people also learn something about the phenomenon through non-verbal communication events. In this modern era, when the culture is growing into popular culture mixed by western culture, there are still a community that wants to maintain the tradition of the local cultural heritage, in the field of literacy. This is what will lift the researchers in the current study. The community was named Tanah Aksara. Researchers are interested to raise the research on Non Verbal Communication in Aksara community. The focus of this study were (1) determine the types of non-verbal communication used in Aksara community. In this study, researchers used the constructivist paradigm with qualitative descriptive method. Data collection techniques used were interviews, observation and documentation. The data analysis technique used is perseverance observation, triangulation of data, and adequacy referential. The results of this study indicate that non-verbal communication in Aksara community includes messages gesture, proksemik message, and the message artifactual.
