This paper reveals about the life of Islam and its interaction with\nreligious believers in the Turgo Village on the slopes of Merapi. Turgo\nsociety living in harmony, which is built on the collective cultural values.\nBetween residents of different religions established communication and\ninteraction are active in various aspects of community life, such as environmental\nconservation, social and religious interaction, and cultural action\nundertaken jointly with models of their own religion. Harmony in\nthe society due to cultural aspects are preferred in communication and\ninteraction patterns in the life of a pluralistic rather than the religious\naspect. That is, in the public space, culture plays an important role in\norder to create harmony.
